| | The reason I wasn't online yesterday was that I was at the beach with
my friends. I feel kind of dumb for not bringing my swimming costume,
but I really wasn't that much in the mood for swimming. I've never
liked swimming in the ocean that much anyway ... but I suppose it would
have been fun. It was a perfect day at first — sweet and sunny and oh so hot —
but it soon got windy as hell when the southerly came on. I could see
the tents and umbrellas blowing around ... it was hilarious I feel sorry for the people who own them.
If you can, you really must read Houshin Engi! It's such a cool manga, and although the characterisation is downright disgusting a little off, it's still great. The artwork is brilliant - I love the shading in particular - and the character design is almost shoujo-ish, but not quite. But my
favourite aspect would have to be the reference to the Chinese epic, fēngshén
yǎnyì (which I'm typing in pinyin because this blog centre doesn't
support foreign characters). Chinese mythology is always fascinating,
especially this one.
I'm all by myself ^^ my father has gone to work so I can do whatever I want for the whole
day. Isn't life wonderful? I want to play on the computer forever, but
unfortunately I have an assignment to do (actually it's a group thing,
which makes things even worse) by the first day back, so it's not all
fun and games. Plus I have to study for my yearly exams, especially maths.
Tomorrow I'm not going to be spending so much time on the computer
because I'm going out with some friends to watch a movie. At this point
we haven't decided what we're going to watch, but I imagine we will
when we get there. (I hope. My friends are indecisive people.)
I went to the library(s) again ^^ and I finally have the book I was
looking for for half a year. Well actually it's two, but they're both
part of a trilogy which I have only read the first book of, and was
hooked by. It's called the Bartimaeus Trilogy (or something like that)
and it sounds a little childish, but it's a cool story.
